Ø Hobbies: cross-stitching when I have time; reading; music writing.
Ø All “favorite” questions are too hard for me to answer but here’s a try…
Ø Favorite Book of the Bible: Genesis or Exodus or Joshua or Ruth or Ezra or Nehemiah or Esther or Psalms or Isaiah or Hosea or Luke or John or Acts or Romans or Ephesians or Philippians or Timothys or Philemon or Hebrews or James or Peters or Revelation OR any of the other books not previously mentioned.
Ø Favorite Bible Character: (whew!) JESUS and Abraham or Isaac or Moses or Joshua or David or Solomon or Isaiah or Hezekiah or Josiah or Nehemiah or Daniel (and his friends) or Matthew or Paul or Peter or John, et. al.
Ø Favorite Bible Verse: (yeah, right!) I guess I’ve kind of settled on Psalm 84 for awhile…
Ø Favorite Books: Anything by Lee Strobel or C.S. Lewis or Francis Schaeffer or John Piper or any scholarly creationist or conservative essayists on Townhall.com or David Barton or Solzhenitsyn…did I say I liked to read?
Ø Favorite Vacation spot: anywhere with my wife.
Ø Favorite Meal : I’ll always go for a good grilled steak with creamy mashed potatoes, steamed broccoli or green beans, and a really good salad
Ø Favorite Ice Cream: Marble Fudge or Blackberry (I have to mix blackberry jelly in vanilla ice cream to get it), actually any fruit flavored ice cream is good. I will eat vanilla ice cream with fruit pie under it, that is, unless the pie is French Silk or Lemon Meringue…or there’s just homemade cookies (peanut butter with the fork marks and raisins or snicker doodle or chocolate chip)
Ø If the staff ran a 100 yard dash, who would win and why? Shane would win. He’s still young enough to move fast and the rest of our backs and knees couldn’t handle it. We might be a little more competitive on a long distance at a nice calm pace.
Ø What kind of car do you think best represents the other ministry staff and why? Three of us have the cars we should. Mark loves to “explore” the Word, hence his Explorer is a good choice. Every music guy should have a car named after something musical like, Sonata (that’s mine). Cheryl drives an Odyssey so anything with the word “odd” works for her (I know, I’ve worked with large groups of young people myself). Shane is the only one who needs to change vehicles. He needs to go to a BMW because of that company’s aeronautical history (Shane likes planes).
